Grade Definitions
A Outstanding achievement. Student performance demonstrates full command of the course materials and evinces a high level of originality and/or creativity that surpasses ordinary undergraduate work. Student communicates in a superior manner in both speech and writing. Student shows excellent citizenship in class.
A- Excellent achievement. Student performance demonstrates thorough knowledge of the course materials and exceeds course expectations by completing all requirements in a superior manner. Student works well with others.
B+ Very good work. Student performance demonstrates shows full comprehension of the course materials and fully meets all course expectations on all tasks as defined in the course syllabus. Student is polite in class.
B Good work. Student performance meets designated course expectations and demonstrates a basic understanding of the course materials at an acceptable level. Student attends class regularly.
B- Marginal work. Student performance demonstrates incomplete understanding of course materials. Communication and attendance lacking.
C Unsatisfactory work. Student performance demonstrates incomplete and inadequate understanding of course materials.
D Unacceptable work.
F Failing.
